During the coronavirus outbreak the surgery remains open but will be operating differently.  We are suspending booking all face to face appointments with effect from 16 March 2020 until further notice.  Please do not attend the surgery.  If you believe that you need to be seen, please request a telephone appointment.  If you already have an appointment booked do not attend the surgery. If it is clinically appropriate the clinician will arrange for you to be seen. Essential nursing appointments will continue as usual for now. This action is essential to maintain your health and the health of your community as advised by the Department of Health.

Nurse Practitioners

Mrs Heather Millard (f)

Heather is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and able to diagnose, treat and prescribe for patients aged over 1 year of age.  She is not able to treat patients with pregnancy related problems and does not offer the services provided by our Practice Nurses.  To arrange an appointment with Heather, please book online or contact Reception on 01235 522379.  Heather has appointments each week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 


Practice Nurses, Cate Wilkinson (BSc, RGN) and Becky Collins (BSc, RGN) are available for vaccinations, ear syringing, wound care, blood pressure monitoring, chronic disease clinics, flu clinics, some contraceptive services, healthy lifestyle advice and cervical smears. They also assist GPs with minor operations and coil fittings. Please book your appointment with reception who will ask you the reason for your visit to ascertain the length of appointment required with the nurse.

Practice Nurse: Alison Plaistow (RGN) is new to practice nursing but has a wealth of nursing experience and can already provide a wide range of appointments for our patients.  She also has a special interest in continence and can offer bladder and bowel assessments and advice for our adult patients.

Due to the varying times needed for their consultations, appointments with our nurses can only be booked via Reception.

Mrs Cate Wilkinson (f)

Cate works 2 days a week.  In addition to general practice nursing, she is a diabetes, specialist nurse and will be looking after our diabetic patients.

Mrs Becky Collins (f)

Becky works 3 days per week.  In addition to her general practice nursing skills, Becky is our lead nurse for Respiratory conditions e.g. Asthma and COPD.  She is also able to provide contraception advice.

Mrs Alison Plaistow (f)

Alison works 4 days per week. In addition to general practice nursing, she has interest in continence and able to provide bladder and bowel advice and assessments for our adult patients.

Nurse Emma Oliver (f)

Emma works Tuesdays and Wednesdays and, as well as looking after our diabetic patients, she is able to offer a full range of nursing appointments.

Healthcare Assistants

Ms Jennifer Evans (f)

Health Care Assistant:  Our HCAs are able to provide the following services: blood tests, blood pressure reviews, ECGs, ear syringing, hearing screening, weight management / lifestyle advice and Health Checks.  To arrange an appointment please phone reception on 01235 522379.  n.b. Blood tests with can be booked on line.
